Home Office Organisation

Some time ago -it feels like years!- I shared with you how our office originally looked (click here for a reminder ;o), then I showed you it afterwards in this post and now I bring to you -for one night only - what we use to help us keep it looking nice and, more importantly, organized at all times.

Different types of papers for your printer, did you say?  For that I'll give you some of hubby's old shirt boxes wrapped in wallpaper which work like a treat!

As you can see below, I also had some cheap black folders that were looking a bit tatty so, once again, Mr. Wallpaper came to my rescue! (I'm yet to put a ring label on them).

A good filing cabinet is one of those essential pieces that every home office should have. I have had this one for some time now but unfortunately I'm not feeling the love for it anymore. I tried to give it a new lease of life with some post-it colorful labels, but the poor thing is just not cutting the mustard.

I think my last trip to our local John Lewis store might be to blame for my disillusionment. They had a great selection of filing cabinets.

What about this one!? Wouldn't look just perfect for a large collection of colorful scrapbook paper! Then you could sit and admire at your own leisure.

My other life saver in the office is this three-tray organizer. This is where all the important documents that come through our door go before we have time to sort them out.  Then, once the piles get unbearable, we file all the paperwork on its final destination.  (That's a proper folder, not the recycling bin!)

So lovely readers, what are your key organizational pieces in your home offices? Go on, inspire us! :o)

This is a featured post. Words and opinions are all my own.

  7. I love the folders and the post-it notes on the filing cabinets to add some fun color are super cute! I love that they can be changed and updated so easily too. I use the same three file holder for to-do's, current projects, and things to file. It helps me keep track of what's done, happening, and next on deck!

  11. Gaby,
I love this office!! I'm always pinning/looking for ideas for when we have an extra room or space for an office. I think every girl needs her own play room, where she can [try to] stay organized and have all the little things she loves in it. This looks like a place where inspiration will flourish!
