In this new series I'm officially debuting today my very creatively named "Home Tour" where I'll be sharing with you some of the rooms in the "Eight" household. Today is the turn of our sweet baby girl's nursery reveal. This post is loooooaded with photos so make yourself a cuppa and grab a chair.
We started decorating it when I was mahoosive, I mean 6 months pregnant. We already knew we were having a girlie but we wanted to try and stay away from pink as much as possible. We didn't want it to be too neutral either as we have the rest of the house to decorate with "barely there" colours ;) So from a large selection of wallpaper options we chose "What a Hoot" by Harlequin.
I came across this feathery light shade and instantly knew it would be the perfect addition to our birdie themed nursery.
For the paint colour we tried as closely as possible to match one of the greens from the wallpaper and we went for Dulux Forest Lake 4.
We've got an Ikea Hemnes chest of drawers for a changing table. I replaced the black knobs that came with it for some glass ones. They shine and create little rainbows all over the room with the afternoon light.
We also created a reading corner/ nook. We've used some Ikea picture ledges with a rocking chair and pouffe below.
I hope you enjoyed the tour! I'll be back soon to show you how we organised all the cute baby stuff and a freebie for you: some pretty baby closet dividers. I'll leave you with a sneak peak
It looks lovely Gaby, the colours are so pretty and that wallpaper is fab! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise! The tiny owner of the room also seems to like the wallpaper 😉

ReplyDeleteThanks lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteBeso grande!!
I really love the colour of your walls... Are you sure its Dulux Forest Lake 4? looking at the swatch it looks like its more of a Dulux Forest Lake 5/6??
ReplyDelete100% sure :) It looks slightly richer in person than it does on the pictures. I'd love to see photographs if toy are going for something similar xx
